ARMYBASSANGLERS PRO RANDY SITZ FISHES FALCON WITH SPECIAL PARTNER

20 FEB found ArmyBassAngler Pro Randy Sitz and his very special partner Wyatt Sitz (Randy's 9 y/o son) fishing together on Lake Falcon during the second Bass Champs South event.

Randy leaves for Iraq at the end of FEB thus embarking on the Defend pillar of ArmyBassAngler's Mission statement. “Wyatt and I had a great time together. Anytime you can fish with your kids is special but getting to fish a tournament together is really a special memory for the both of us, especially an event as big as Bass Champs,” stated Randy. The father and son team started out and finished in the school bus area of the lake. On their first spot and on the third cast Randy caught a 6 1/2 pounder on a 3/4 oz custom vibrating jig in talapia colors he purchased from Tightlines in about 12 foot of water around the trees.
“Wyatt did a great job helping net the fish. We thought we were on the mother lode but after an hour of no bites we figured we just got lucky,” stated Randy.

As the water warmed up Sitz began flipping the trees with a Skeleton series Castaway flipping stick backed by his XS 1000 Ardent reel and 25 pound FHP Parallelium Line with a watermelon red Hyper Worm by Lake Fork Trophy Lures. “I caught about 12 fish in a hours time...4 pounder, 3.5 pounder and two over 2 pounds,” stated Sitz. “I lost several fish in the trees that felt really good but you never know with those Falcon bass...they are all just flat mean.”

The team had 18 1/2 pounds and new that wouldn't be enough on Falcon but had a great time together. When the team got to the weigh in teams needed to have better than 25 pounds to go to the scales. In the end it took 28 pounds or better to get a check. “This lake is just awesome,” stated Sitz. “I am looking forward to coming back after my tour in Iraq next FEB. Although Wyatt didn't catch any fish he really had a great time fishing with his Dad and watching him catch fish and netting them for him.”

Randy would like to thank Skeeter boats for the best ride and fish-ability the bass fishing boating

industry has to offer. He would also like to thank Mark Pack form LFT for sending him some hyper sticks just in time for the tournament. HOOAH!
